Glad you asked! Recently, we've discovered that the fairy shrimp have unionized and are demanding royalties on all drilling activity. That said, we are in our abundance era and we still believe there will be enough funds to run the Burning Man operation and payout the unionized skrimps without relying on large donations from the technocrats. Citizens for a Responsibly Fracked Playa are pro-union and have encouraged the tiny crustaceans to organize.

The Alternative Energy Zone, otherwise known as the AEZ, is a village on Playa free of generators. We camp alongside these wind and solar enthusiasts because we believe that fracked fossil fuels are the alternative to the alternative. Portable power packs are just about ubiquitous these days and we're here to buck the trend. Remember, wind doesn't blow on demand and the sun doesn't shine at night.
